The Land Transport Authority has finally admitted that the "1 minute" arrival time displayed on transit apps is actually a state-sponsored psychological experiment.

Developers confirmed the algorithm uses a "Gaslight-o-Meter" to ensure commuters maintain a healthy level of existential dread during their commute.

Local victim Tan Ah Kow said: "I wait until my hair turn white, app say 'Arr', but where got bus?"

"Then suddenly the timer jump back to 14 minutes, like the bus driver go find 4D number first or what?"

Officials claim the "No Data" status is a Zen-like reminder that nothing in life is certain, especially your arrival at the office.
