New Tanjong Pagar Café Serves $48 Toast Inside Clogged Toilet
A new concept café in Tanjong Pagar has achieved record-breaking queues by serving lukewarm avocado toast inside a decommissioned public toilet bowl.
The establishment, named "Sewer Chic," charges patrons $55 for the privilege of dining amidst the authentic aroma of industrial-strength bleach and damp towels.
Despite the menu consisting entirely of unseasoned cardboard shaped like cartoon characters, influencers have hailed the experience as "truly transformative" for their social media feeds.
Management confirmed that the more disgusting the presentation, the more Singaporeans are willing to spend their entire inheritance on a single meal.
"Wah lao, the sewage smell really adds to the vibes, quite authentic one," said local food blogger, Cheryl Teo, while taking 400 photos of her soggy eggs.
"Even if the food taste like rubber, at least my followers know I got enough money to eat inside a toilet, so worth it lah!"
The café plans to expand next month by offering "Dustbin Dining," where diners pay extra to have their coffee poured directly into their cupped hands.
