A local community carnival official has been hailed as a visionary pioneer for successfully removing the "luck" from a lucky draw.

Witnessed by dozens of bored citizens, the volunteer was seen peering into the translucent blue box like a hungry heron eyeing a drainage koi pond.

The official reportedly discarded several "unauthorised" tickets until she successfully identified the one belonging to her cousin’s facial therapist.

“Wah lau, you don’t know meh? Luck is very dangerous one,” explained a nearby resident, clutching a consolation prize of cheap detergent.

“If any random person win, the karma of the whole block will spoil, so must choose the ‘correct’ winner lah!”
