These new micro-units, measuring a staggering 18 square metres, are being marketed as “optimised personal contemplation pods.”

Sources confirm that the design incorporates a state-of-the-art, fold-out bed that doubles as the living room wall, the kitchen counter, and, controversially, the shower stall. Critics argue that occupants will spend more time folding furniture than contemplating.

“Wah lau eh, I bought a shoebox, now I buy a shoebox *inside* a shoebox!” lamented disgruntled prospective buyer, Mr. Tan. “My wife say I better get used to sleeping upright, because turning around is considered ‘redecorating’.”
