PHNOM PENH — In a move that truly redefines the phrase "fighting for your right to party," two Cambodian sisters have successfully cleared their social calendars by stabbing their grandmother to death.

Seng Chanboramey, 19, and her sister Seng Heng Sanika, 18, were reportedly fed up with their 64-year-old grandmother acting like a human firewall for their nether regions.

The victim, Ty Kong, had a habit of reminding the girls that "having a boyfriend leads to failing school," which the sisters eventually agreed was true, especially if you spend your study time planning a tactical homicide.

"Grandma was always nagging about grades and future success," said a source close to the girls, who requested anonymity because they don't want to be the next target on the sisters' 'to-do' list.

"She didn't realize that the girls had already mastered 'Advanced Anatomy' by finding exactly where her vital organs were located without using a textbook."

The sisters decided that since they couldn't go out on dates, they would bring the sharp, piercing action home, specifically in the form of multiple kitchen knife wounds delivered from behind.

Neighbors reported that the house had never been quieter, finally free from the sounds of an old woman trying to prevent the inevitable cycle of teenage hormones and poor life choices.

"It’s a win-win for everyone," said one local lanjiao who was hoping to score a date with the 18-year-old before she was escorted away in handcuffs.

"She’s finally single and available, although her current address is a high-security prison cell where the only romantic dinner available is a bowl of watery gruel and a side of regret-free silence."

The girls now face up to 15 years in jail, a period during which they will definitely not have to worry about passing their geography exams or hearing about the merits of waiting until marriage.

Experts suggest that the grandmother was technically correct, as being a double-murderer is generally considered a significant "red flag" on most dating apps.

"If their goal was to prove that dating leads to a complete loss of future prospects, they really aced the practical exam," noted a local education official.

The sisters are expected to spend their prime years in a romantic setting involving concrete walls, iron bars, and a very limited selection of Tinder matches who aren't also serving time for armed robbery.

Usually, Singaporean kids just talk back or post a black-and-white photo on Instagram with a vague caption when they are grounded, but these girls really went for the jugular.

Authorities have commended the girls for their teamwork, noting that while their academic careers are over, their ability to follow through on a project is top-tier.
